If there only 2 types of SLI metrics, namely event and time based SLIs, from which we can derive availability SLO. Does it imply that there are also only ever 2 types of Availability metrics ?
The devil is in the details however. To know what availability means, we first need to identify who consumes the service (or even start identifying the service). There's more info in a more recent post: https://blog.alexewerlof.com/p/sli-evolution-stages

At a high level yes:
1. The system is available xx.xxx% of the time
2. The system is available for xx.xxx% of events
